Ha Ha! I do, too. Really.

There was no sinful joy greater than the hot shower I took after giving birth.

But not in a dirty way.

You are right about that! Best shower EVER.

Nothing beats a HOT shower in the morning!

I wouldn’t know… I have vague memories though.

I’m a wee bit confused – are you shoveling food into Lily or into yourself when the screaming and growling is happening?

Reply

Roxane June 29, 2010 at

Usually both, but I meant her. I can’t get the food in her mouth fast enough, so she hollers and growls. Really growls like a little animal. Funniest thing EVER.

Learning to jump in the pool is such a big step. My little guy is practicing jumping, but hasn’t mastered it yet.

He jumped in once yesterday, but today he wouldn’t do it again and the instructor ended up throwing him in. If I had done that? White-hot rage would have emanated from his every 4-year-old pore. But some random dude throws him in? He’s cool with that. Weird.

“Hey” right backatcha!

Thanks. I do my best. Well, not really. I just write stuff and people tell me it’s funny. If you say so…

(actually I find myself stinkin hilarious, just don’t tell anybody, mmkay? trying for modest and unassuming here)

2 screamers and a jumper? With a little duct tape and closet time you can take as long of a shower as you like.

Going to the garage now ;)

I have an on-again-off-again relationship with my shower, too. We used to get together at least every other day…

Reply

Roxane June 29, 2010 at

Hee hee. I don’t think we’ve seen each other even THAT frequently in quite some time. Count yourself lucky!

Lily and my twins may actually be of the same stock. Because both of mine do the exact same thing. It’s like I never feed them or something!!

Wouldn’t a hot shower, every single day, all by yourself, be FANTASTIC!? Dare to dream…

Reply

Roxane June 29, 2010 at

She acts like she is ALWAYS starving.

Yes. Dreaming over here.

The screaming over here at my house? It is way annoying. But I have not lost my hearing.

Just my will to listen.

I think girl screaming is probably WAY worse than boy screaming, so props to you! Though, this is not just random screaming. It’s every word. “MOOOOOOMMMMYYYYY CAAAAN I HAAAAAAAAVE SOOOOOOOMETHING TO DRIIIIIIIIIIIIINK PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!”

I’m pretty all sure I never had the will to listen.

I love your post it note Tuesday! Such a big accomplishment jumping in the pool! My little guy will do so good at lessons, then at our local swimming pool only wants to get in with his life vest. Hope you and the shower get reacquainted soon…sounds like me.

Thank you! Jumping in is a huge deal for him. It’s funny though because last year he was fearless and he wore himself out jumping in, getting out, running around, jumping in again and so on. Wondering what changed…

Me and the shower need to be best buds, but as of yet we are merely acquaintances.

LOL!
Awesomeness on the jumping in! Soon he’ll be doing whatever the swim teacher asks him to – (if he’s like my boys) – if she’s a cutie tootie high school girl!
That cracks me up about Lily! I’m trying to remember if mine did that but can’t. Hilarious!!!
I truly appreciate you posting the note re: shower. Now I can stop trying to find the smell… lol
Happy Wednesday!

They made him jump off the diving board today and he promptly announced that he was “NEVER DOIN THAT AGIN!!!” (yes, he has a thick southern drawl) Good deal :P

You HAVE to look at my tweet with the video of her growling. Then you can tell me if your kids did it or not. It’s flippin hilarious.
